This Privacy Policy explains how Renn Driver ("Renn Driver", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit renndriver.com (the "Site"). Renn Driver is an independent Porsche enthusiast and car-culture publication operated from Thailand. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
Renn Driver is a personal publishing project covering Porsche models, events, and car culture. The Site does not offer user accounts or logins, and it is not aimed at children under 16. For any privacy question, contact us at joe@renndriver.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message so we can reply.
- Email newsletter. When you subscribe, we collect your email address and, optionally, your first name.
- Event submissions. If you send us an event to list, we collect the details you choose to share, such as the event name, venue, date, and your social handle.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. It collects standard technical data such as your approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring site, and it uses cookies. This data is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records technical request data, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.
How we use your information
- To respond to your messages and event submissions.
- To send our email newsletter, which you can leave at any time.
- To understand and improve how the Site performs and what content is useful.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Third-party services we rely on
We use trusted third-party providers to run the Site. Each only receives the data needed to do its job, and each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics and Google Maps (analytics and the embedded maps on place and event pages) — see Google's Privacy Policy. Google Maps embeds may set cookies when a map loads.
- Web3Forms — processes contact form submissions and forwards them to us.
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — manages our email newsletter list.
- Resend — delivers transactional notification emails to us, such as a new subscriber alert.
- Vercel — hosts the Site and serves its pages.
- Supabase — stores the Site's content, such as our events and places directory.
When you share Renn Driver content via social buttons or follow our profiles on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, or Pinterest, those platforms collect data under their own policies.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them mainly for analytics and for embedded Google Maps. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the core content of the Site will still work without them.
How long we keep your data
We keep contact and event-submission messages for as long as needed to handle your request and our records. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email us at joe@renndriver.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email.
International visitors
Renn Driver is operated from Thailand, and our service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in locations outside your own country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here, so please check back periodically.
