What Makes This Track Special?

Kaeng Krachan Circuit is unlike any other racetrack in Thailand. The layout sits on 150 rai of hillside terrain near the edge of Kaeng Krachan National Park, creating 18 metres of elevation change between the highest and lowest points. That means uphill charges, downhill braking zones, and a mix of increasing and decreasing radius curves that flat circuits simply cannot replicate. There are 25 turns in total across the full course, combining high speed sweepers with technical low speed turns that demand precision.

What Are the Track Layouts?

The venue offers three configurations. The full course runs the complete 2.912 km layout with all 25 turns. The medium course covers 2.400 km and cuts out the most technical back section, while the short course at 1.004 km is used for motorcycle racing schools, driving instruction, and karting. Each layout presents its own challenge, and experienced drivers often run laps on all three in a single day to sharpen different aspects of their technique.

What Events and Activities Happen Here?

The venue hosts national level racing for cars and pickup trucks, club level time attacks, and endurance events throughout the year. Porsche, Honda Civic, and various touring car classes have all raced here. Motorcycle track days and racing schools operate on regular schedules, and the track is available for product launches and advertisement filming. For spectators, the elevation changes make it one of the best venues in Thailand to watch racing, enabling spectators to see multiple sections of the track from a single vantage point.

How Do I Get There?

The location is in Wangchan, Amphoe Kaeng Krachan, about two hours south of Bangkok by car via the Phetkasem Highway. The valley setting means the area is cooler than Bangkok, especially in the mornings. There are limited facilities nearby, so bring water and check the official website for the event calendar before making the drive. The surrounding area near the national park offers hiking and birdwatching for visitors who want to combine a track day with outdoor exploration.
