Thailand International Motor Expo
Thailand International Motor Expo is the country's largest year-end motor show. It runs for 13 days every December at IMPACT Challenger in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, just north of Bangkok. Organized by Inter Associated Press Co., Ltd., the show regularly draws over a million visitors across its run.
Often compared to the Bangkok International Motor Show held each spring, the Motor Expo closes out the year with its own massive lineup and is known for some of the best vehicle deals of the season.
What Cars Are at the Thailand International Motor Expo?
Thailand International Motor Expo features full production booths from every major automaker in Thailand. Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Honda, and dozens of other brands bring their latest models, concept cars, and special edition launches.
This is where manufacturers drop their biggest year-end promotions. A lot of Thai buyers time their car purchases specifically around Motor Expo deals, and tens of thousands of vehicle orders get placed during the show.
If you want to see the latest 992 or compare the GT3 against other performance cars in person, the Porsche display is always worth the visit. The show also has dedicated motorcycle halls with models from Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Ducati, and others.
Thailand's position as Southeast Asia's largest auto manufacturing hub gives the Motor Expo a unique advantage. Several global manufacturers use it as a platform for regional debuts and limited-edition reveals that will not appear at other events for months.
What Is the Motor Expo Experience Like?
Thailand International Motor Expo fills multiple halls inside IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, one of the largest exhibition venues in Southeast Asia. Beyond the main car displays, there are aftermarket accessories, performance parts, and special exhibition zones.
Interactive brand experiences, driving simulators, and test drive opportunities make it engaging even if you are not buying. The scale of the production and the number of brands present make it one of the most significant auto events in the region.
Families, collectors, industry professionals, and car enthusiasts all attend. The atmosphere is busy but well organized, and the venue's air conditioning is a welcome break from Bangkok's heat even in December.
When Is the Thailand International Motor Expo?
The show opens in early December with a VIP and press preview day, followed by a charity day where admission is 100 THB. Public days run through mid-December. Weekday hours are noon to 10 PM, and weekends and holidays are 11 AM to 10 PM.
The exact dates shift slightly each year. Follow @motorexpoth on Instagram or check the official Motor Expo website for confirmed dates.
How Do I Get to the Thailand International Motor Expo?
IMPACT Muang Thong Thani is about 30 minutes north of central Bangkok by car. The Pink Line monorail connects to the complex, and parking is available on site but fills up fast on weekends.
Weekday visits are less crowded and give you more room to explore the booths. If you plan to negotiate a purchase, weekday afternoons are the best time because sales teams are less rushed.
